The Intercultural Events Committee will ensure collaboration on the planning of District-wide intercultural events and activities. This includes developing a strategically planned District calendar of these events, awareness months and other activities that complement academics and encourage the advancement and appreciation of the arts. The purpose of the Intercultural Events Committee is to initiate, support and make funding recommendations to the Dean of Student Affairs and Engagement Programs or designee regarding events that promote the awareness and appreciation of diversity. The committee’s goal is to provide enriching educational experiences for the District and the community at large through activities that recognize and empower the contributions of SRJC’s vibrant college community.
